Dr. Eleanor Barone - Medical Director

Dr. Eleanor J. Barone joined our staff in August of 2008 as the new Medical Director. She has come to us from New York City, having successfully achieved JCAHO accreditation of the surgical facility at her previous group, as well as establishing a loyal following of patients. Dr. Barone will be restructuring/implementing our medical practices and guidelines, as well as acting as our liaison with the local medical community. In addition, she will be dividing her time between our clinics to perform procedures alongside our other Board Certified Surgeons, to provide a consistent, high quality experience for all Isis patients.

Dr. Barone is a well trained surgeon, with many years of experience, including extensive training in Smartlipo and Vaser LipoSelection. She is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. After graduating from Columbia University, she earned her Medical Degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in 1992. Dr. Barone then completed a full general surgery residency as well as a two year research fellowship in wound healing at the Medical College of Virginia. She has actively researched chronic wounds, scarring and healing and has presented her findings internationally. To complete her plastic surgery residency, Dr. Barone returned back to New York to the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn. She is committed to the safest surgical experience with splendid results using the most advanced plastic surgery techniques available today, from facial rejuvenation to body contouring.

William E. Palin, Jr. MD FACS

Dr. Palin joined the staff at Isis Cosmetic Centers in August 2008. Prior to that Dr Palin was in private practice in Maryland where he was the head of the Cleft Palate team for western Maryland. He was in practice at the western region of the Maryland Shock Trauma system. He was chief of surgery of the Western Maryland Health System and headed multiple committees within the hospital system.

Dr. Palin attended Duke University and graduated with honors in Biomedical Engineering. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh Medical School, he completed a full General Surgery residency at the University of Louisville with Dr Hiram Polk with medical publications on wound healing and effects of chemotherapy including national presentations of his findings. Dr Palin then completed Plastic Surgery training with Dr James Bennett at Indiana University Department of Plastic Surgery and published and presented papers on breast asymmetry, anthropomorphics and burn care in the major Plastic Surgical Journals. He was certified by both the American Board of Surgery (1985) and the American Board of Plastic Surgery (1987). He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.

Dr Palin has more than 20 years of cosmetic surgery experience including facial rejuvenation, breast and body contouring and all forms of liposuction, vaser liposelection and liposculpture. Dr. Palin will be primarily based in the Jacksonville office to provide a consistent and safe cosmetic experience for our Isis Cosmetic patients.
